Second Opinions

Looking for a second opinion?

Our consultations are always 100% complimentary. Choosing the right Orthodontist for you or your loved one is a big investment in both time and money. We welcome second opinions in our practice. There are many different types of orthodontic tools for moving teeth and correcting malocclusions. It is important you work with an orthodontist whose plan you feel comfortable and confident with.

Considering doing your own aligners at home like Smile Direct Club?

We are happy to provide you with a complimentary consultation to evaluate your orthodontic needs before you make a final decision. A common misconception is that all “removable aligners” are Invisalign. Consulting a Board Certified Orthodontist before you begin moving your teeth is critical because unhealthy tooth movement can cause serious harm to your teeth.  A full set of comprehensive records is the only way to ensure your teeth, gums, and bone is healthy enough to begin moving your teeth.  It is also important for an orthodontist to understand your concerns and goals of treatment. Unsupervised orthodontic treatment usually has limitations in what it can achieve.

Moving and needing to transfer?

We like to help make this transition as smooth as possible. Please contact your previous provider and have them send your records and transfer forms to our practice. These records are important in making sure your orthodontic appliances are compatible with the ones we use in our practice. We can then set up your complimentary consultation and Dr. Dunn will assess the current progress of your orthodontic treatment and we will review our plan to complete your treatment with our practice.
